The birth of stars has always been a fascinating observation. Although we can’t witness it in real time we can however use our imagination at how stars come to life. New observations however have shown that the birth of stars is some sort of cosmic barbaric ritual.

According to space.com – stars are participating in a sort of cosmic demolition derby around our galaxy’s supermassive black hole, Sagittarius A*, or Sgr A*.
Although we LOVE that analogy, what is actually happening?
It appears that older stars are smashing into younger ones and rejuvenating themselves with the coating from the stellar material! That is just one of the MANY bizzare findings made by Northwestern University scientists after simulating 1,000 closely spaced stars around the centre supermassive black hole of the Milky Way.
