Our universe is expanding, we know this, but in a striking revelation both the JWST and Hubble space telescopes have confirmed that the universe is doing so at different rates, depending on the observation point. This challenges our current understanding of the cosmos as it now yeilds two vastly different sets of results depending on the point of observation.
This disparity was first discovered by Hubble in 2019 and is what’s called ‘Hubble Tension’. It was then confirmed in 2021 by the James Webb Space Telescope.
