The upcoming Amazon Studio’s miniseries Blade Runner 2099 is reported to have a similar feel to the 1982 cult classic. This has been confirmed by some of the actors that have begun working on it.
Blade Runner 2099 will be a sequel set in, you guessed it, the year 2099 which will continue the story of the Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner and events in Blade Runner 2049 set in Dystopain Los Angeles.
Can’t Go Wrong With A Classic
The series, created by Silka Luisa, will mirror the 1982 Blade Runner’s aesthetics deliberately in an attempt to get back to cyberpunk storytelling, but will also focus on L.A’s futuristic evolution to separate 2099 from the previous installments.
The series will also draw from the original novel by Philip K Dick, Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?, which was the basis for the original 1982 film.
All sci-fi fans should be very excited for this upcoming Amazon miniseries. I know I am!
